This summer house, located in the Stockholm archipelago, is conceived as a rectangular, pitched-roof volume with continuous ribbon windows and minimal detailing, wrapped in neutral wood panelling. The archetypical shape and all-wood cladding are reflected in the interior, where a kitchen and dining room, living room and bedroom are arranged back-to-back in the airy main space. Two mezzanines, sitting atop wet units and storage, articulate a sequence of tall and low spaces. When moving along the perimeter of the building, one enjoys unbroken views of the surrounding woods and fields.
